Supported versions of Excel
- Excel for Microsoft 365 on Windows
- Excel on Mac(2019 or later, or Microsoft 365)
- Excel on the web
Not supported: Excel on iPad, and perpetual-licence Office (for example Office 2016 or 2019 bought outright).
For IT administrators
Lantern for Excel is installed for your organisation from the Microsoft 365 admin center, under Settings → Integrated apps → Upload custom apps.
- Manifest URL: https://excel-addin.platform.lantern.ai/manifest.xml
- Your users need Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise, signed in with their work account, and an Exchange Online mailbox.
- Assign the add-in to users or to top-level groups. Microsoft doesn't support nested groups for this.
- After you assign it, the add-in can take up to 24 hours to appear for users.
